Introducing James Hart - Engineering Apprentice
James Hart joined ODA on Monday 5th Feb 2024 in and Engineering Apprenticeship Role. James has been enrolled with Hartlepool College of Further Education and started a programme of Level 3 study as an Engineering Technician – Mechatronics Bias on the 28th Feb 2024.
He has been working with the Panel Shop Engineers, Calibration & Instrumentation Engineer, and Control Engineers within his first month with the ODA Team learning some of the basics that ODA do on a day-to-day basis. As ODA are predominantly involved in highly skilled, complex Electrical and Mechanical work, James will be learning from trained and competent engineers within the company, with the added benefits of an enhanced learning provided from the college.
He will learn how to Apply Safe Systems of Working, How to make Technical Contributions to the design, development, quality assurance, manufacture, installation, commissioning, decommissioning, operation and maintenance of products, equipment, systems, processes, and services. He will also learn how to apply proven techniques and procedures to solve engineering and manufacturing problems. He we be able to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills in communicating both technical and non-technical information and have a commitment to continued professional development across all aspects of the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Projects we do on a day-to-day basis at ODA.
